SR Scientific offers specialty diagnostics and disease management panels

By focusing on the most ordered and most missed diagnostics, we have created custom panels to diagnose and treat in a faster clinical pathway.

Specialty panels include:

  • Cardiology
  • Endocrinology
  • Men’s Health
  • Women’s Health
  • Allergy
  • Drug/ Tox
  • General Chemistry

Panels

You know… but what are you missing? These panels are designed to save clinician time, and to give a baseline of individual markets by disease class. They are customized to ensure that necessary follow-on tests are not forgotten.

Cardiology Profiles

  • Atherosclerosis (2)
  • Cardiac Enzyme (3)
  • Coagulation
  • Lipid Panel w/ LDL

  • Renal

General Chemistry

  • Rheumatoid
  • Chem 20
  • CMP (Chem-14)
  • BMP (Chem-8)
  • Electrolytes
  • Drug Screen-10
  • Drug Screen-15 (5)
  1. Added homocysteine to identify a vitamin b12 deficiency, patient may benefit from vitamin b12 shots
  2. Meant to identify inflammation markers that are at the early root causes. The makeup of lipo-protein particles that helps identify those patients that are most at risk of developing atherosclerosis in conjunction with the traditional lipid panel
  3. Designed for the outpatient environment when a physician learns that a patient had chest pain one or two days prior. These cardiac markers cover the possibility of recent acute occurrent event vs. one that happened in the past (triponin-event right now) myoglobin stays elevated for up to days. ckmb is a 3 day real. cpk, ldh is an elevation that shows muscle damage up to a week in the rear.
  4. The diabetes profile is used to help diagnose and manage diabetic patients with the inclusion of fructosomine, an often-underutilized test by clinicians helps doctors better control short-term fluctuations in blood sugar. Where a glucose shows the current blood sugar, the fructosomine shows 2-3 weeks, vs. A1C of months. if A1C is high and trying to institute a new diet or medication modification, by having the next lab encounter be fructosomine, it will show the efficacy of the change. The A1C will, however, remain unchanged so it is not a good marker for titrations. normal blood glucose, they can come back in two weeks to three weeks and see if A1C came down
  5. Designed for clinicians to rule in or rule out drug abuse and to monitor patient compliance and metabolism; Pairs with PCR based drug-drug-gene interactions

Women’s Health

  • Ovary Function (1)

Men’s Health

  • Prostate (2)
  • Testicular
  • Testosterone

Allergy

  • Allergen Respiratory Zone (3)
  • Allergen Food 24 (3)
  1. PCOS Panel was designed by endocrinology specialists to aid not just them but other practitioners in the diagnosis and management of polycystic ovarian syndrome. These are the most commonly used markers for proper evaluation and treatment. For example, the insulin level should be measured.
  2. The prostate profile includes the use of a Free PSA one of the most under-utilized markers for prostate cancer. The free PSA itself can help rule in or rule out prostate CA. when used in conjunction with a PSA, this is the standard course that most urologists at high level institutions are using throughout the country to diagnose and or treat prostate cancer and/or Benign prostate hypertrophy. if the psa is elevate and the free psa is elevated then is a BPH. if the psa is elevated and free psa is diminished, more likely than not you are a candidate for prostate biopsy as this indicates a high chance for PCA
  3. Takes the 30 most common allergens in the tri-state area. Added a TOTAL IGE marker where if elevated, and all allergens are negative, they are having an allergic reaction to something not detected.
  4. Takes the 24 common allergens in the tri-state area. Added a TOTAL IGE marker where if elevated, and all allergens are negative, they are having an allergic reaction to something not detected.
